For 10 years, SDNEDC has hosted the premier San Diego North County economic forecasting event, convening over 400 leaders from around the region. This event highlights national and international economic trends and how they will impact North County.

Numerous questions loom on the horizon. Will the federal reserve be able to achieve a “soft landing” or will increased interest rates and inflationary fears drive the economy into a recession? With San Diego benefiting from a large military presence and many recession-proof innovation clusters, how will our region be impacted? How can we make sense of a slowing economy and continued severe tightness in the labor market? And what can you, as a business leader, do to plan?

This year’s new keynote speaker, Charlie Dougherty (Vice President and Economist with Wells Fargo’s Corporate and Investment Bank), will focus on national and state trends. Josh Williams (President & Principal Researcher of BW Research) will cover this year’s North County Indicators Report, showing where North County is doing well and revealing areas where we have opportunities to lead.
