More than 3 million people live in San Diego. Despite the urbanization of many areas in the county, over 5,000 farmers cultivate the land and make a living on 250,000 acres. Due to high costs of water and land throughout the region local farms have become specialized in combining agricultural activity and efficiency. In terms of average dollar value per acre, San Diego far surpasses other California counties’ agricultural production.

Join us for a farm to table lunch as we discuss the local agriculture industry with a panel from varied backgrounds. Each panelists represents specific business challenges, experiences, and outlooks on the future of San Diego agriculture.

Time: 11:30 – 1:30pm

Venue: Escondido Farm,1821 S. Citrus Ave, Escondido
