Biotechnology 101: Understanding the Industry as Policymaker and Steward

This invitation-only presentation is intended to increase understanding for North County elected officials about what Biotechnology is and how the industry contributes to local and state prosperity. We aim to provide insight into the evolution of drug discovery and manufacturing, contrasting it with practices from 30 years ago and highlighting the transformative impact on medicine. We believe this foundational knowledge will inform decision-making and regional stewardship moving forward.
