Each year, SDNEDC convenes cross-sector leaders to explore innovative economic and workforce development strategies in a comparable metropolitan region. Denver offers a similar economic scale and profile to North County, making it an ideal setting to study forward-thinking approaches that can be adapted locally.
This three-day experience will include expert-led presentations, site visits, and discussions focused on:
- Supporting small businesses and procurement access
- Regional leadership collaboration
- Building business capacity in key industries
- Revitalization of major commercial districts
Innovation in career and technical education
Participants will gain firsthand insight into how Denver is strengthening its economy while deepening relationships with fellow North County leaders through shared learning and dialogue.
Last year’s study tour included nearly 20 North County CEOs, along with city council members and nonprofit leaders, creating a strong cross-sector representation of regional leadership
